Acting as living canvases, these silks are one of a kind original garments. The scarves are botanically dyed and individually block printed. Dyes were ethically foraged, collected and processed by hand. Anam Cara translates to "soul friend" in Irish, an ode to the book of Celtic wisdom written by the great Irish poet and philosopher John O'Donahue. "Soul friend'' refers to a profound relationship, a companion that accompanies your life's journey. Shaped by the land and Irish mythology, this collection explores what it means to create living tactile work as the daughter of an Irish immigrant.
